Community Events at Citizen Space
Citizen Space is a coworking space first, but we do regularly host and rent out space out for events that enrich the community. Facilities include a large common area, configurable desks, digital projector and white screen, and kitchenette. If you’d like to use our space for your event, please make sure that your event attendees respect the personal space of our desk residents. You are responsible for your own setup and cleanup. Events such as discussion panels, demos, hackathons, meetups, author readings, etc. are welcome.
Note:
We don’t say yes to every event request. We prefer events that relate to San Francisco’s coworking and entrepreneurial community. Schedule and staffing resources also determine space availability.
Event Information:
Capacity: 100 seated, 150 Standing
Pricing: Weeknight: $175-$575 depending on size and nature of the event (community focus, size, if admission is charged, etc.) $75 cleaning fee added for all groups serving food/drink. All weeknight events start after 6pm.
Weekend: (the space is occasionally available for weekend events): $300 and up, depending on scope of event; $75 cleaning fee added for any groups serving food/drink.
Staffing: 1 Citizen Space member present to lock up and answer your questions. Please bring your own staff for the event. If there will be more than 15 guests, bring 1 staff member per 25 guests.
Equipment included: 50 chairs, 8 large tables, 3 cafe-style tables. Projector and pull-down screen, white board, surround-sound speakers, use of cleaning supplies. 500 watt PA system with wireless mic can be rented for $75 a day, or $20 an hour.
Publicity: We’re happy to publicize your event to our on our Twitter feed and the bulletin board in our space.
Parking and Transportation: We’re a 10 minute walk from Montgomery Bart, 15 minute walk from CalTrain. There is nearby metered parking and two parking lots within a stone’s throw. The parking lots are $10/day and often “free” in the evenings if there is no attendant. Bikes are welcome inside the front door of our space.

Conference Room Rental
We have a lofted conference room above our work space that can be rented by the day, half-day, or hour. It’s private enough to have meetings and phone calls, but keep in mind that it’s in a loft and there is no door separating it from the rest of the space, so you may not want to use it for super-private discussions. Digital projector available on request, seats up to 25 people. The loft is great for board meetings, training, and brainstorming sessions.

- $35/hr
- $120/4hrs (half-day)
- $200/8 hrs (full day)
Conference room rates apply to 10AM-6PM weekdays. Conference rooms are subject to availability. If you need to do some off hours conference call, like working late with an offshore team, let us know, and we may be able to arrange something for you.
