Three levels of residency

Citizen Space rents desks out monthly. We currently have twenty full time or monthly resident desks as well as workspace Coworking Lite members and Drop-ins. Also make sure to check out the photos of our space and what we have to offer. And, most importantly, check out the Ground Rulez before you come down to the space so you can be a good neighbor!

  • Drop-ins = Free
  • Coworking Lite = $300/month
  • Monthly Resident = $400-425/month
    • One month trial with no commitment. $425 down, move in, see how you like it for a month. If at the end of the month, it’s not for you, we’ll give you $125 back for the experience (ends up as the same price as Coworking Lite). If it is for you, then sign up for our Month-to-Month agreement or Three Month Prepay.
    • Three Month Prepay. Pre-pay 3 months rent in one lump sum and save $25/month! ($1200/3 months, discount stays in effect as long as pre-payment is maintained)
    • Month-to-Month. $425/month.

Drop in friends = FREE

Citizen Chain by Miss Rogue includes:

  • communal work table at the back of the space, plus white cafe tables in the kitchen, plenty of space!
  • wifi, power, coffee (although it would be cool to replenish it if you drink a lot) and water
  • the presence of really tuned in, smart, interesting people
  • in house access to our excellent library.

you are expected to:

  • respect the space of the others occupying Citizen Space
  • be a groovy cat: digging a higher purpose in life
  • never steal stuff ’cause your karma will be seriously damaged
  • collaborate with others in the space
  • find a way to give back to the universe what you are receiving today

NOTE: If you’re a  drop-in, you pay your way by contributing positively to the space and maybe dropping some petty cash in the donation jar. We aim to keep our space as open as possible, but will reserve the right to kick anyone out for being rude, unhelpful or generally detrimental to the spirit and atmosphere of the space. We’ve never really had any issues and we’d like to keep it that way!

Coworking Lite = $300

Coworking Lite is a special class of coworker that is not immediately available to everyone. As we take pride in the quality of people who frequent Citizen Space, Coworking Lite members must first get to know and become somewhat regular drop-in workers before “graduating” up to a Lite membership. This level of membership is provided primarily for convenience for folks who demonstrate frequent drop-in use of Citizen Space.

includes:

  • your very own key that will give you 24 hour access
  • unlimited booking time of the conference room, lounge, space for events (but the full-time tenants get first right of refusal)
  • space for third parties to come in and collaborate with you (unlimited)
  • wifi, power, furniture, coffee, water, office ‘perks’ (like beer and wine and snacks and stuff) and other utilities
  • use of the projector, whiteboards, flipcharts and printer (and other office equipment as it is added)
  • growing library of cool resources: books, publications, software, etc.

you are expected to:

  • respect the space of the others occupying Citizen Space
  • be a groovy cat: digging a higher purpose in life
  • be cool with the plenitude of events that are going on in the space (you will be warned, don’t worry)
  • be insured

Monthly resident = $425   ($400 if you pre-pay three months rent in advance)

includes:

  • your very own desk … store your ’stuff’… nobody else sits there without your permission
  • your very own key & key fob to give you 24hr access to the space
  • unlimited booking time of the conference room, lounge, space for events (as long as it’s not already in use – schedule to be posted)
  • space for third parties to come in and collaborate with you
  • wifi, power, furniture (bring a nicer chair if you wish), coffee, water, office ‘perks’ (like beer and wine and snacks and stuff) and other utilities
  • use of the projector, whiteboards, flipcharts and printer
  • growing library of cool resources: books, publications, software, etc.

you are expected to:

  • respect the space of the others occupying Citizen Space
  • be a groovy cat: digging a higher purpose in life
  • be cool with the plentitude of events that are going on in the space (you will be warned, don’t worry)
  • be insured
